Who is Solanco Neighborhood Ministries?

Our Mission: Engaging Families. Meeting Needs. Giving Hope.

Our Vision: to provide a support network, promote personal and spiritual growth, increase self-sufficiency, and break the cycle of poverty within our Solanco community.

Solanco Neighborhood Ministries is a non-profit, non-government, faith-based organization that helps meet the practical, spiritual, and relational needs of individuals and families in Southern Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

We are 100% funded through donations and 100% of donations stay in Southern Lancaster County, PA. Our donations come from churches, individuals, area businesses, and local organizations, and all financial donations to Solanco Neighborhood Ministries are tax deductible.

Area churches are an integral part of S.N.M., which was founded by the Solanco Pastor’s Fellowship. Generous support from the churches, as well as individuals and organizations, allow us to continue (and expand) programs and services in Solanco.

Help Us Provide Nutritious Food for our Community, Students, Families and Senior Citizens in Need.

Food Drive Volunteers:

The first Saturday of every month, Ferguson and Hassler Supermarket hosts a food drive to benefit the Solanco Food Bank. Consider helping hand out flyers and receive donations at this food drive, or host your own food drive!

Darrenkamp’s and Mussers Markets frequently host drives at their stores…check them out!

Food Bank Volunteers:

Our Food Bank is almost entirely staffed with volunteers! They help pack orders, work in the office, tend the gardens, or help with food drives! We need volunteers at other times of the year too. Stop in, take a tour, and let us know how you might be interested in helping.

Food and Monetary Donations:

Most of the food we hand out is donated by churches and community members. Whatever food is not donated, we purchase locally using donated funds. It takes a lot of money to keep the Food Bank supplied adequately and we greatly appreciate your gifts.

Food donations can be dropped off any time Monday-Friday from 9 am – 4 pm in our drop off room on the side of the building. If you would like to donate perishable items, please bring them inside. Thank you!

If you would like to make a monetary donation, please make checks payable to Solanco Neighborhood Ministries

Checks can be dropped off at the food bank or mailed to:
