Who We Are
About Us
Mission: Engaging families. Meeting needs. Giving hope.
Vision: The vision of Solanco Neighborhood Ministries is to provide a support network, promote personal and spiritual growth, increase self-sufficiency, and break the cycle of poverty within our Solanco community.
We are a faith-based, non-profit social service organization located in the heart of Quarryville. We were founded in 2012 by the Solanco Pastors Fellowship to serve and advocate for under-resourced individuals in the southern end of Lancaster County. Solanco Neighborhood Ministries is primarily funded through generous donations from individuals, churches, local businesses, and organizations.

Meet the team
Our goal is to help you, your family, and your community.
Teresa Dolan
Executive Director
Teresa is the Executive Director of SNM and oversees the day-to-day operations of the ministry. She meets with families, learns about their circumstances and goals, and tries to determine how best to help them. She also works with other organizations to learn about available resources to meet the needs in the community. This includes trying to bring programs and services that are usually offered in Lancaster City, to the Solanco area.

Todd Capitao
Director of Programming
Todd is the Director of Programming at SNM and oversees the programs and services of the ministry. He meets with individuals, one on one and in group settings to assist with financial concerns from buying a home, dealing with debt, credit issues, eviction/foreclosure prevention, prescription costs, and ultimately how to have a spending and saving plan that works for you. He also partners with Churches, local businesses, government programs, and other non-profit organizations to find the best available resources to meet needs. He enjoys sharing tips and ideas on how to save time and money. When he is not at work, he likes to spend time with family, work around the house/barn, visit yard sales, and checking out auctions.

Ginger Yost
Resource Advocate
Ginger’s “First Career” was an Owner/Operator of Hairdressing Salons and she regularly volunteered in her church Counseling Ministry. During that time of mentoring and counseling clients, she became a Board-Certified Biblical Counselor (BCBC) through the American Association of Biblical Counselors (AACC). In 2020 Ginger earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Lancaster Bible College in Biblical Studies with a focus on Psychology/Social Work. She joined S.N.M. in April 2020 and aids clients in solving issues, both financial and spiritual. She enjoys the detailed work of advocacy and meeting the unique needs of the under-resourced in the Solanco area.
Christal Pritchard
Housing Resource Advocate
My name is Christal Pritchard and I am the housing advocate for Solanco Neighborhood Ministries. My education background is in Communications and counseling. My certification in biblical counseling and training in Christian trauma care guides me as I try to help individuals in crisis. I count it as a privilege to walk alongside our hurting neighbors, trying to connect them with both material help and ultimately with the hope of the Gospel that transforms and restores. On a personal note, I have four young adult children and one grandchild. You will find me hiking, biking, walking and serving in my local church.

Rob Althouse
Food Bank Coordinator
In Romans 12:13, we are called upon to “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” As Food Bank Coordinator, I have the privilege of working with volunteers who help to stock our food bank shelves, process donations, pack orders, and do all of the tasks necessary to get food into the hands of our neighbors in need. Along with the support of our great community, I believe it is a blessing to get to share God’s love through the services that we provide.
Judy Beiler
SWEEP Coordinator
I am the Coordinator of SWEEP (Student Weekend Program), which provides weekend meals for elementary and middle school students in the Solanco School District and Martic Elementary. I prepare the program menus, oversee the food purchases, and pack bags for pickup. After retiring from 33 years as a lead worker for the PA State Police, I knew that I wanted to spend time helping people in the community. As a lifetime resident of the Southern End, Solanco Neighborhood Ministries turned out to be just the place for me to do so.
Favorite quote: “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”
Jean Hopkins
Volunteer Extraordinaire
Jean has been volunteering at the ministry for over a decade, and she does it all. She helps in the food bank, assists with ordering needed supplies, she is our go-to in the kitchen, helps with events, and more. She will tell you how fulfilling it is to volunteer here and how much joy it brings her, but truly, we are so blessed that she chooses to spend her time with us, serving others.

Cindy Sobotka-Briner
Volunteer Coordinator
I’m the Volunteer Coordinator at the Solanco Neighborhood Ministries. I ensure that we have the packing staff for our day-to-day activities, maintain the schedules for the Office and Greeter staff, and request and arrange substitutes as needed. I also send out our monthly donation request list to local churches, organizations, and individuals who wish to participate. I take pride in the many ways this organization serves our community. I’m excited to work with folks who care so much about helping others and go out of their way to do so.
Favorite quote: “It’s all in God’s plan”
Debra Grace
Volunteer Office Coordinator
When I retired, I did not want to just sit around and grow old; I decided to give back to our community some of the blessings God had given me. So, I researched locally and discovered this wonderful group of caring individuals at Solanco Neighborhood Ministries, and the rest is history. These days I enjoy many different aspects of volunteering within the ministry. I volunteer in the warehouse, I assist with the SWEEP bag deliveries on Friday mornings during the school year, and most recently became the office coordinator. I’ve never worked with a group of individuals more dedicated to helping those in need in our area. I hope to spend many more years serving our community and enjoying the many friendships that have developed from that service.
Favorite quote: Psalm 23: “The Lord Is My Shepherd.”

Laura is the bookkeeper at SNM. Her responsibilities include overseeing the financial data of the ministry. She works with Teresa to ensure accurate information is entered for reports. She is thankful to be able to serve the Southern Lancaster community in this way. Laura previously worked at Sight and Sound Theatres in the Accounting department. Laura and her husband, Gregory, have two daughters – Kylee and Katelyn. She enjoys spending time with her family, crafting and spending time outdoors.
